Breather wall wrap for the walls Bradford R1.5 glasswool batts in the walls Bradford R3.5 batts in roof Anticon Roof blanket under the colorbond (on advice from the roofer, most houses just have sisalation but Anticon or rook blanket has the foil on one side and insulation on the other. I have been in the roof while doing the ducting and I can tell you it takes up a good chunk of the heat. The theroy is the roof blanket under the tin takes a chunk out of the heat and then it hits the ceiling insulation. So basically our house has two layers of insulation being the wall wrap then wall insulation and anticon then ceiling insulation. The wall insulation cost us $500.00 The roof blanket was about 1000 The wall breather wrap was about 450 Ceiling batts about 1000 I think it is a very important part of the overall house in the long run and for the sake of a few thousand dollars get the most you can! We got all our insulation from Bowens. Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11279 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6211 |
