Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Oct 07, 2009 2:31 pm Hi all, I'm building a smallish three bedroom home, and I'm considering having an Evap system installed after handover. I'll often see in the papers adverts for a 5-point ducted evap system for say $3,500 or so, supposedly "fully installed". (The builder had an option for this, but was charging $5,000). Does the standard installation for these units include adding the power line and adding the water line? Or are these to be done separately for more $$$? And even more importantly, do the roof trusses need to be strengthened to fit an Evap unit on the roof? (I'm a bit dubious of the volume-builders quality - I'm sure they build them with just enough strength to hold the tiles up, and nothing more!). I need to replace the worn mohair seal on my sliding window, but I can't get access to the end to slide the old one out & push the new one in. I could probably rip the old… 0 5197 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors. But I'm not sure… 3 6153 |
