Im not sure there is a difference, but I could be wrong. I just had a look at the Daken site and their inverters have an indoor and outdoor system - which is the system we are getting. I would be asking the council to clarify the covenant as I am confused myself. If you find out lemme know! Tks Re: electric ducted air conditioning systems...anyone?? 3Sep 22, 2009 8:33 pm We have a Misubishi r/c ducted air conditioner, box sits on the ground at the back of the house (no rules about eaves though - some people here have aircon units on the roof), is that what you mean? Re: electric ducted air conditioning systems...anyone?? 4Sep 22, 2009 8:36 pm Hi.. The convenant was put in there by the developer who is a solicitor as well.. it also reads that the front fence can only be 1 metre high and no metal fences are allow as in your colourbond's etc... I need to clarify what Im trying to say and come back to it...sorry my Dh has overloaded me with too much imfo Re: electric ducted air conditioning systems...anyone?? 5Sep 22, 2009 8:41 pm Our front fences are not allowed to be more than a metre high either (in fact many people dont do front fences at all ) but that's an odd one about not allowing colourbond fences - what fencing do you have to use? Re: electric ducted air conditioning systems...anyone?? 6Sep 22, 2009 8:57 pm Emily, I think what they are talking about is the outdoor unit. I know many businesses have their outdoor units on the roof, but majority of residential have their outdoor units on the ground, so I dont think this will be a problem. We also live on acreage and we aren't allowed to have colourbond fencing (only rural type fencing). Don't stress out, just take it one step at a time, ask questions and everything will fall into place! Re: electric ducted air conditioning systems...anyone?? 7Sep 23, 2009 12:06 am emilygirl :) We have a block on hold at the moment which has a covenant on it that doesnt allow airconditioners/evaporative coolers above the eaves... who ever heard of that one... So it's not a noise issue or anything like that, it's purely aesthetic?
