I know it's going to be more expensive to run but all of our friends with evaporative say evaporative is pretty useless after a few days of hot wheather and considering the 45+ degrees days we had last year it seems like a good idea. Hopefully with some decent blinds and insulation we won't need it that often anyway. make sure you check out which heater you're getting. The add-on brivis systems utilise the existing heater, so it's important that the heater has a high airflow capacity. The air has to be moved over the coil at a high speed in order for the cooling to be effective. We have a 24sq home, and have purchased the 15kw ICE cooler. However, the heater that came with the unit was the Brivis HE20i - a 5 star rated heater. I've paid an extra $400 to move to the HE30i heater - a 5.5 star rated heater, which has approx %30 better airflow capacity over the HE20i (according to technical specs). Don't be bought and sold on just how high the kw rated aircon system is if you're looking at add-on cooling..... How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5936 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
