Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Aug 19, 2009 5:35 pm I've been investigating under-tile heating options for installation during our upcoming renovation of the existing bathroom and creation of a separate WC (by blocking off a hallway). The bathroom area is 4.6 M2 and the WC will be 2.8 M2 Our existing bathroom has tiles (which are going to be replaced) laid over a (presumed) cement screed above a concrete slab. The WC area is currently floorboards on joists that rest on the same concrete slab. We plan to remove the floorboards, then add a screed the same as level as the bathroom and tank the new wet area. We don't want to raise the floor level so currently I'm looking at electric heating mats laid above the screed and attached to a timer/thermostat. So far I've found the following suppliers - does anyone have any opinions/recommendations or others to consider?: Elektra from P.A.P. Heating Solutions ComfortHeat SpeedHeat Devi Heating Systems (I probably won't use them just because the website is cr*p - flashing text is so web 1.0! CBS Heating Thanks in advance. Re: Under-tile heating for bathroom & WC 5Aug 22, 2009 8:13 pm No, just the KIT + the costs of sending 2 KITs by Australian Mail. You also have to add the costs of the electrician for connecting it to the rest of the electrical wiring in the house. Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end.
