Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Aug 18, 2009 10:56 pm Hi everyone, I have upgraded my heater to the brivis 5.5 star setup and I'm just reading through my building contract which I picked up on Saturday and it says "single common zone and manual controller". Does anyone know what the costs would be to get another zone added in? For the amount I paid to upgrade (just under $2k) you would think, well I did that I would have given at least another zone. Any suggestions/info appreciated Thanks. I ended up getting a credit though and getting it done through a third party with my aircon 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Instead we opted for a credit of $4,000 odd dollars and we'll be organizing our own heating. Can you just take your plans into a heating place to get a quote? I'm actually going in on Monday afternoon to sign the contract, so I guess I could hit the pavement tomorrow and get some quotes. Can anyone recommend heating places west side of Melbourne? Werribee/Hoppers area. That was from 5 - 6 zones, so may be different if you have only got one zone to start with as you need to incorporate some kind of control panel that switches the zones, which you probably dont already have. Although i have seen a basic light switch used to control 2 zone systems. Re: extra zoning costs??? 8Aug 27, 2009 9:44 am DO ring around and get quotes before you sign! so you can make an informed decision. We're due to sign next week and are doing exactly that. So far we've found, even with the small credit we'll get back from the builder for heating/cooling and the large amount they charge for 3 phase power, we're better off installing after handover. We'll have a superior system with the zoning we want. You'll find most places will provide a quote within 1-2 days, if not same day. Explain the urgency. I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13107 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering.
