Hey. My 1st post here
I have a HE20i (extra air) + 14kW addon air con with a networker. There are 10 outlets. The common zone has 6 outlets. The heating requires a minimum of the common. The cooling requires a minimum of the common and one of the three other zones, so plus either one or two outlets.
I'm wondering what your thoughts (solutions, suggestions, etc.) are on the following:
1) The air is not as cold as what comes out of a wall unit. However, it will still cool the required areas when there's no direct sunlight, just more slowly. The cooling doesn't seem adequate for the rooms with windows facing the west in the afternoon heat and sunlight. Having the curtains drawn doesn't help enough to bring the temperature down. I had awnings installed earlier this year but have yet to see how effective they are in assisting the cooling.
2) The air con usually cuts off many times when trying to bring the temperature down like 10C. i.e. cooling stops below the set temp (26C) by a couple degrees and sometimes more. Cooling continues moments later. I think on the very hot days, trying to bring the temp down 10C was not possible until nighttime. Does the unit take breaks after running continuously for a while? Maybe to prevent overheating? Or can the networker be at fault? I'm not certain but pretty sure the active zone arrows were flashing, indicating the desired temps were reached when the cut-outs occurred.
3)I've just had my heater serviced the other day and the technician only picked up and fixed minor things. I forgot to mention the heater's been going off and back on within a minute or two for the last few days. The temperature's set to 20c and the heater should cut off at 18-20c. Been seeing the heater cut off more at 18c recently. Maybe that's what's causing the heater to go off and turn back on so quickly.
I've been told that the first two can be caused by a problem in the outdoor unit or the refrigerant pipes.
