Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation Re: Which Air Con 2Apr 14, 2009 1:04 pm I have never heard of either of these companies but unless you have got one I guess why would you have. We will be going going with a Bonaire duel system later on. This is only because we will already have Bonaire ducted heating as this is what the builder suppies. I guess could select a system from both with the features you want and get a quote from each. Im guessing that the price will vary a fair bit, Air con to the whole house can be quite expensive. They mainly use digital scroll compressors. I'm a big fan of inverter compressors - I've had 3 Daikin inverters and they are incredibly quiet and cheap to run (I've had ducted air in homes for at least 30 years, and the Daikin is easily the quietest). Re: Which Air Con 5Apr 15, 2009 7:35 pm Hi, We are going with the Actron Plus aswell. After talking to an air conditioning specialist and asking about the best units available, this came out on top, even though they offered many other brands. Yes the price is high, but the reasons are clearly explained and it is very cost efficient. There is something about not needing to use the entire output airflow like many other air conditioners, as it can be run on reduced output. But I don't know the technical language for it. My brother also looked over the specifications (he is a Refridgeration Electrician) and commented it offers to be an extremely good unit. Hope this helps. We've had both Daikin and Panasonic systems in the past and our current Actron leaves them both for dead. Most versatile and efficient A/C we've ever used. Hi everyone, thanks for the replies. It's an Actron Air Classic, I believe 20kw.
