Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Mar 23, 2009 2:00 pm Hey guys, Not sure if this is the right section or heating and air conditioning but just have a question. We're planning to have ducting done by the builder for our house (for both floors of the house) and three phase power supplied - we said we would provide unit. Just wondering whether builders normally expect a ducting plan or will they have a standard one they follow for the particular house style? If a ducting plan is required anyone know how much roughly it will cost and can anyone possibly recommend a air con installer in Sydney who we can contact about it? Any help would be appreciated. Nav Re: Ducting plan for air con post-handover? 2Mar 23, 2009 2:30 pm You would need to know what size unit etc you are going to install before you can have it designed, especially if you want zoning. You also need to make sure they are installing the currect duct work. My guess is they will just install the cheapest which is not good enough for cooling (air cond). I'd hope it would be for cooling (air cond) as in the tender its stated as 'air conditioning ducting'. But I guess that means we need to choose a unit we will want now (we have no idea yet), thanks. A quick phone call will give you the answer. And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5907 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
