Is there an Aust Standard applicable to this or does it vary from brand to brand? The unit in question is a Brivis HE30. Re: Distance from manhole to heating unit platform? 3Mar 13, 2009 9:15 pm Platform has to be from manhole to the heater platform can be any distance as long as their is a walk way the whole way and lighting i think every 3m with light switch at the manhole not over where the unit is hope that makes since for you by the way the platform needs to be 600mm wide the whole way and 18mm thick minimum Re: Distance from manhole to heating unit platform? 7Mar 14, 2009 11:01 am Helyn "manhole" tsk tsk tsk - how sexist On our floor plan it is shown as p.h. - which I assume stands for person hole I'm happy for it to be a manhole - I have no intentions of EVER getting up there where there could be spiders etc!
