Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Feb 28, 2009 2:48 pm Hi everyone
1st quote for heating/cooling our house is as follows: - Daikin 6kw split system aircon/heating and Brivis central heating. Total: $7400. 2nd quote: - Bonaire 10 outlet central heating and add-on cooling system (vents installed under the house). Total: $9400. We have a 3br, brick veneer average-sized 70s style home that we are currently renovating. What would be the best way to go? What do you think of the cooling vents under the house (Bonaire quote)? Reputation of Bonaire? Reputation of Brivis? Need your opinions.... Thanks! Re: 2 quotes received - need advice 2Feb 28, 2009 5:01 pm I dont know about cooling under house as cool air sits lower then hot seems to be working backward's i know they install heating in roof these days mainly due to concrete slabs but is alot easier to heat a house than cool it.
Ring around i was quoted $11,300 for a brivis me30 heater and 18 kw add on air with 14 outlets and 2 zone motors when building. Ended up going through builder same price heating and cooling works great. We had 3 phase power so you may only get a 12 kw add on air with single so it should be cheaper than mine Levelling compound Ardit is the best but buy a bag of sand and make sand dam to protect your wood floor 2 15257 XCEM Alpha flooring seems to relatively new and I could not found any reviews. Have you or someone you know have used it and would recommend over other subfloor options?… 2 7597 I’m not a structural engineer but I’m free. you still need an engineer for the plans. I only have part of your plans, but you seem to have a 850mm drop from the side… 3 9961 |
