http://www.trendir.com/archives/cat_home_radiators.html But as far as I can search on google, everything is in Europe. Does anyone know of places in Australia (Melbourne preferably) that sell these or anything remotely similar? Re: where to buy designer/good looking electric radiators? 2Feb 01, 2009 10:56 pm jinster,
are you looking at electric or hydronic. the problem in australia is that their is no market for that sort of quality. most of those heaters are hydronic, i have a friend who does hydronic heating and most people who put in hydronic panels put in the the orginal panel design because they start from a hundred dollars. the designer ones you wouldnt start from under a thousand dollars. most people in australia put in reverse cycle so that they get heating and cooling so no need for radiator panels. Re: where to buy designer/good looking electric radiators? 3Feb 01, 2009 11:37 pm jinster,
sorry i did see after i posted that you were looking for electric panel heater. same reponse as before that the market is not big enough. the panel market in australia is when the builder or developer is trying to put the bare minium heating in so they they put in the basic cheapest model from china. i tought a one stage to try and copy the cinier artwork panels but make the front panel interchangeable so that you could change the artwork. so you could just buy or exchange the artwork face at a selected retailer but i dont think that many people in that market will pay for the designer aspect. i also look up a radiator company that we used to buy radiators off that were a bit more designer looking but it appears that they no longer stock them and are only selling the basic looking model types. can i ask you the question what sort of designer radiator are you looking for how much would you pay for one.
