Hi there,
we are just about to buy a house. You can bet it is not insulated so now the questions:
-if it was a weather board: easy, remove the cracked plasterboard, put in insulation. BUT: Would it be possible to put an aerated concrete wall inside, to get at least some thermal mass? But, how to support the extra weight?
-if it was brick veneer: the bricks as thermal mass are insulated from the inside of the house via the air gap, sarking and plasterboard, what a wise thing to do So how to bring them back in the game? Would have to put insulation on the outside of the house, weather proof the insulation, paint it white, close the air gap, something like that?
Cheers,
Steffen
