Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 14, 2009 10:53 pm Just curious if ceiling fans can run off the power supply of existing light fittings or if more wiring was required ?.
A good few years ago we looked at installing fans in my parents house but it turned out that the metal roof would have needed to be pulled back for access. Due to the pool solar heating covering nearly half the roof fans were deemed too hard and we left it. I was wondering if anything had changed perhaps?. Most likely a flat roof. There is plaster inside, then the roof beams then the tin roof... All this equates to no crawl space ... it is all sealed up. It is fairly common in older homes here in Victoria. Re: Ceiling Fans Power Supply 4Jan 14, 2009 11:39 pm Ahh - tin had to be removed because there is no roof cavity at all, its just plaster, insulation and then roof. Happy you got it sorted out. cheers Simeon 6 8640 Would also like an opinion from anyone that has used xcem over hebel for floors. Thanks 1 14231 2 15465 |
