I'm planning on installing ceiling insulation myself, because it works out cheaper than getting my builder to do it. I was intending to go with woollen batts, but a few people have mentioned a new silver board-type ceiling insulation that has been developed. I don't know much about it, but from descriptions it seems like several layers of silver-cardboard placed in the roof.
Does anyone on here have any experiences with this type of ceiling insulation? I'm intrigued as to whether it works as effectively as the batts - apparantly is it competitive in price.
I'm from QLD, so am living in a slightly warmer climate.
Thanks.
