Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Nov 18, 2008 7:47 am Hi,
I was just wondering with the Brivis ICE outside add on unit, the pipes that connect to it from inside the house, can they be connected either side of the unit, or does it have to be connected on the right side? The reason I'm asking is because I went to check the progress of our house last night, and notice they have ran the refrigeration piping to a different location then where I requested and the SS suggested it may be because there isn't enough room where I asked for it too go, which may well be the case if the piping has to go on the right side of the unit, but would be doable if could be connected on the left. Hope that isn't too confusing. Thanks in advance Mal Re: Brivis ICE add-on unit question 2Nov 19, 2008 1:12 pm the pipes can only connect to one side of the unit (right hand side from memory) ... they may just run the pipes behind the compressor and around after the unit is in place Dynamic Heating & Cooling - http://www.DIYheating.com.au DIY Ducted Heating & Cooling Systems DIRECT to the public Re: Brivis ICE add-on unit question 3Nov 19, 2008 1:30 pm Hey the pipes are definitely connected on the RHS of the unit.
But in saying that, our builder placed the external outlet out by about a metre or so and they tried to install it with a pipe that ran behind the unit and turned back around to join it up....but it looked like crap! Now the other thing is, is it wall mounted or floor? Ours is floor but i wanted it as close to the house as possible but not touching due to the possiblilty of vibrations coming through. If you need to get the pipework moved now, then do it, we had to cut a massive piece of plaster out and move the pipes from the inside. Get them to put the pipework where YOU asked for it to be.
