Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Nov 13, 2008 12:43 pm Hi guys,
We are currently in our 3 month old brand new house and in Winter when the ducted heating was on l would hear an annoying whistling like a kettle in the distance. It was coming from a void behind a wall in my daughters bedroom. The Brivas service people came out and said they couldn't really fix it. Now with the air conditioner running, l hear the same noise only louder. It is so annoying. We have a two story house and the whistling is coming from upstairs. Does anyone have any experience with this and should l contact Brivis again and insist that they try to fix it? Any help would be appreciated, Re: Brivis Ducted Heating & Cooling System 2Nov 14, 2008 9:02 pm brivis will only fix the heater - everything after the heater like ducting, bends, branches, boots and vents are the installers responsibility. Sounds like one of the ducts may be restricted thus causing the whistling noise and also why brivis won't fix it. You will need to contact the installer - but to fix it ... well lets not guess - hopefully they can fix it easily for you.

Have you tried cleaning the vent? It could also be somewhere in the return air stack. We have a light switch in the return stack that needed extra sealing to stop a sucking noise. Get a heating/cooling tech out to have a look. Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house. Does this placement sound reasonable to you?
