The house is ducted aircon, and the outlets are located "as selected by the installers on site" (i.e. we had no input into their location which is probably for the best, since we have no idea where they are best located). The outlets have mostly been installed near the centre of the room, either above where the fan blades will be, or just outside the arc of the blades. We were looking at Calibo Cloudfans, but their install guide explictly requires 1.5m clearance from the tip of the blade to the aircon outlet or you'll void your warranty. No other manufacturers we've looked at appear to have this requirement. Could you share your experiences if you have installed ceiling fans close to aircon ducts ? what's the rationale on this?
