Heating, Cooling & Insulation

I'm building a garden studio and have come to order the insulation panels for the floor. I'm going to use PIR panels. These panels come in lengths of 2.4m, The gap between joists I'm going to fit them in is 3m, divided by a noggin midway, so one sheet will leave a gap of 40cm.
My question is, rather than buying a whole sheet for each 1.5m section and losing 1.4m in offcuts, is it OK to join two cut boards together in a single gap?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I think it's a good idea to find a builder who suits you and ask. That way you're getting the info direct from the builder and they'll be able to work all of that out for you.
