Hey everyone,
I've just had new R7 ceiling insulation installed and because I have IC-4 rated LED downlights throughout the house I told the insulation installers to lay it over the downlights - without giving any thought to the transformers which can't be covered by insulation.
the wire length between the downlight and the transformer would be lucky to be 30cm which really doesn't give me enough length to put the transformers above the insulation as it's so thick. Is there a option/solution I'm not thinking of other than uncovering every transformer so it has room to breathe and therefore leaving gaps in my insulation?
Michael.
