Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Mar 16, 2021 10:14 am Good Morning Everyone, I am currently in the process of building a house and I want to keep my server room nice and cool. (Will have a dozen graphics cards producing 75 degrees heat each mining crypto) I was initially going to add a vent from my 19kw ducted system but realised I can't heat the house at the same time! Derp. What should I do? The room in question is on the outside wall of the house so should have quite a few options. I need something efficient that can be run 24/7 keeping a small 1.5m X 2m room cool. Thanks everyone. Re: Server Room Cooling 2Mar 16, 2021 11:50 am Can't you set that room up as a separate zone in your ducted system? Then you can switch off the zone if you're using the air con heater in the winter. Other options: * fan forced vent on the door * extractor fan in the ceiling of wall, venting to outside Re: Server Room Cooling 3Mar 16, 2021 11:59 am Muhammad Can't you set that room up as a separate zone in your ducted system? Other options: * fan forced vent on the door * extractor fan in the ceiling of wall, venting to outside I had it like that but if we ever wanted to heat the house then the server room would overheat without aircon. Hence why I need a different route. I don't think just a fan would do and would need fresh air filtered to come from somewhere for longevity of the components.
