Those variables include: Size of home Insulation efficacy Heat retention in roof cavity Ducting quality Temperature outside How your outdoor unit is oriented(e.g. are you recirculating hot exhaust becaude you installed the unit facing a fence) Volume of air exchange Just to name a few. If your system size is reccomended for the size home you ar3 in and its not cooling enough, start there. There lots of things that could be contributing to that. On ours the thermostat inside the ducts that regulates the cooling coil was too close to the outlet and was registering cooler air and shutting off the cooling b3fore the house was cool. They just moved the thermostat further down the ducting and problem solved. Though it took several visits and the manufacturer t o come out and work it out. All about three months of dealing with it. Dark matter scientist, can breathe underwater, mind reader and can freeze matter just by willing it. Trust me, its in my sig. It's all about wireless, self install now. The cost/benefit of wired setups for the house are no longer what they used to be. Lots of wireless options.
