Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 17, 2021 7:32 am Hi all, We live in far north Qld surrounded by thick bushland on 3 sides which seem to keep out breezes. Due to the high humidity, we have major problems with mildew. I've been looking for solutions (there doesn't really seem to be many) but was thinking about using a solar vent and instead of using it to ventilate the ceiling, connecting it up somehow to draw air directly from a few rooms to get some air flow. Has anyone done this before? I've got no idea with renos, so don't have any idea if this will work or the possible problems it may cause. Thanks for reading. Re: Solar Vents for Room Ventilation? 2Mar 07, 2021 8:57 am Hi Moges this can be done no doubt, the problem you’ll find is that it will effect your heating and cooling making your energy prices rise as the air will draw out through the day causing your air con to work harder. retail its around double the price of a similar sized actron/dakin system from memory, They are excellent systems though. But with how builder gouge on AC/heating, you… 4 13744 Brass fly wire, you will need to cut it, shape it and jam it into brick slots 1 7450 |
