Good morning all,
Just wondering if anyone here has integrated Airtouch 4 with their ducting systems? I'm looking at this currently and would love to hear your feedback.

I enquired with them and was told that you can do up to 10 zones and should not be an issue for single storey homes and smart system can be done too for a double storey. Ours is double storey and there's only one controller downstairs which is a pain. We can't add another controller upstairs as it's the limitation of the unit. It has no remote controllers too. This is why we are looking to change ours to a smart system so that we can also control the heating/cooling unit from our mobile phone. Re: Airtouch 4 5Dec 17, 2020 12:18 pm Firstbuild20 Yes it is. I have been told that I can have individual controllers for each zone with ITC (Individual temp control). We are going to have 6 zones with 1 spill zone. I believe you are correct, you can only have 1 main controller. However you use zone controllers and mobile app to control as well is my understanding. I will try and find more information from the installer. I have been told that the Airtouch4 system is good. It's just that I don't know anyone who has it installed. Would be good to hear from someone who uses it to get some feedback. Re: Airtouch 4 6Dec 17, 2020 12:30 pm pgp82 Firstbuild20 Yes it is. Is your house double storey or single? I'll enquire with Airtouch4 system too. Re: Airtouch 4 7Dec 21, 2020 9:18 am Update: I had a good talk with the installer and the distributor. While Airtouch4 is a good system both have said to go with Daikin own controller including individual temp controllers for the zones. Reason being, if anything to go wrong in the future, it will be more of a blaming game between the 2 systems. For that reason I have decided not to go with Airtouch4. Cost is a little extra to go with all Daikin. Re: Airtouch 4 8Dec 21, 2020 8:01 pm Thanks for the update. Good thing that you have that option with Daikin. Our heating/cooling unit has no other option but to change to a smart system, otherwise we have no choice but to go downstairs each time we need to change the temperature or settings as our unit is only limited to one controller. Re: Airtouch 4 9Sep 27, 2021 9:00 am Has anyone had this installed and in use yet? Got sick and tired of all the 1st party controls offered by manufacturers so now looking at adding something like this to our ducted quotes. Airtouch looks the business but just curious what it's like in the real world. Pretty good interface and manage to setup 6 zones. If you need to use the mobile app, please remember to include the wireless gateway. Airzone? Or Airtouch? Here is the link - https://www.airzonecontrol.com/an/en This was the recommended setup by Daikin in our case. We have Airzone blueface as the main controller and Airzone think for all other zones. |
