Browse Forums Heating, Cooling & Insulation 1 Jan 29, 2005 1:13 pm I am planning to build a home in Melbourne's south east suburbs and want very efficient isulation levels. Is there anyone out there who could recommend insulation R values for a timber floor, walls, ceiling and roof lining (colorbond roof). Should one differentiate between ceiling and roof lining or can you combine the two. For example does a 2.5 ceiling with a 1.5 roof lining combine to result in a 4.0 R rating? What are the recommended insulation materials? Re: Insulation in Melbourne 2Jul 07, 2005 2:22 pm You will need to get an energy rating done on the proposed dwelling. Regards Janelle Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11599 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6591 |
