Is this the case? Depends which model you get. The older ESP Plus & Ultima's have a Copeland compressor which can be fairly noisy. It uses modulation to vary its' output as opposed to inverters which vary the speed of the compressor. The trouble with modulation is that you can hear the scroll opening and closing. We install a lot on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and always advise against an ActronAir with a Copeland scroll if space is tight and we can't put the outdoor well away from any neighbours. This isn't an issue with the new Platinum range which have inverter Danfoss compressors. Daiking or Actron Air Conditioners?!?! 17Jun 18, 2014 9:51 pm I've written this in another thread somewhere but I had the same dilemma. It doesn't matter what you choose it matters how you are going to use it. Work out how many outlets minimum you will be running at one time and work out the cooling load required...you might surprise yourself. For instance a small 3x3 m room should really have a 2kw cool load to keep it comfortable. So if you have say a 3 bed house, and just want to cool bedrooms you will need a min of 6 kW. Your living space however May require a min of 15kw. Do yo understand how action and daikin work? Actron can scroll down to approx 10% ie a 20kw unit will run at 2kw Other systems approx 50% so 10kw So look at how you will use it...not zone it and work it out from there. In my situation I'd never have less than 10kw running so spending extra money on an Actron was silly I'm not affiliated with either company but that's just what I learned from my research How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 6306 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
