I was looking on a website and they said the new trend will be wooden benchtops as you're in the design business have you seen much of this as I've seen a few photos and it looks lovely but I can't see it being very practical.

I like them…BUT, you need to treat them well. They tend to get water damage after a while. Which will mean sanding back and re-coating. That’s fine if you’re up for it. I think that’s why the stones are so popular, very low in maintenance. Looks absolutely fabulous in the kitchen ![]() cheny05, Who, do you have some details please? Thanks Rod Re: Granite benchtops 19Mar 30, 2007 12:50 am Is stainless steel an option ? Does anyone know how that compares price-wise ? Re: Granite benchtops 20Apr 08, 2007 9:54 am Stainless steel is ok…still expensive, only because it has become popular.
But I would be very careful about using it in residential applications. It scratches very easily, and after a while with heavy use, could look like a meat cutters slab! That’s just my opinion….. ![]() Internal and External - Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide 0 24375 ![]() I'd try posting it on airtasker. I am sure you will find someone willing do take them for a couple of hundred $ 1 9036 ![]() |
