Hi Michelle,

I love this sort of idea for a garden feature however i'm wondering if you know of anywhere that does stainless steel plate designs. Basically i'm hoping to find a flat, square or rectangular wall hanging with cut outs in it.

I prefer contemporary designs but seeing as my searches for steel plate hangings are proving fruitless i'd look at anything

I’d be looking more at finding yourself a welder or steel fabricator…….
You design it…..they will make.
My brother has done some great stuff with metal at his place…..I’m quite envious!

This would be the way to go…..good luck!!!

I saw some stainless steel garden art when I was looking for Matt's water features today. There are several in Australia.

There was some gorgeous stainless steel plates/trays in Myer the other day - but they were in the glass section with the Versace and Selangor stuff, and were about $150 ea (think serving platter size). Would look great hanging on a wall... maybe a bit expensive for the purpose though.
I'll try and think of the brand...

Water Features Direct in Clifton Hill have some fabulous designs, very modern in stainless steel, rusted steel, etc.

I have used this in a few gardens before.
They are lightweight weather proof prints. They don't fade, they are very durable and easy to hang. They are like a canvas looking sheet stretched over a recycled plastic frame.

You can try http://www.screenart.net.au they do aluminium plate designs which use 3mm thick aluminium which can be powdercoated or just raw. Some amazing stuff & used for garden art, water features or indoor use.
