Browse Forums What's New Re: Internal Glass Sliding Doors 45Jan 13, 2010 2:20 pm Thank you Mark but I don't think any discount would help. I just received the quote and thank goodness I was sitting down. OMG!!! For the Hafele system and covering an area of 2 1/2 m H x 2138m W the cost was $9650. I actually don't know what to do now as this was unexpected. Re: Internal Glass Sliding Doors 47Jan 13, 2010 5:16 pm Quote: Ask him to quote you on something like we did at crounlla pool, I can easily get to Cronulla but I am unsure where you actually mean. The only Cronulla pool I know of is the sea pool. Are you referring to the public pool which is near Cronulla but actually in Caringbah? Can you give me more details as to the location of this work. Sorry to be a nuisance but I really want to solve this problem before I go crazy. I was willing to pay up to $5000 for this work as long as it is in glass so I hope I am not being completely unrealistic. If I have to pay more there will be a long wait while I save the rest. (And hopefully my OH doesn't divorce me in the meantime for having the great idea to knock down the old wall between the laundry and bathroom ). Thank you again for your help. Re: Internal Glass Sliding Doors 51Sep 06, 2010 11:15 pm Moogles That is gorgeous. Can I be nosey and ask where you got it from and did it break the bank? Re: Internal Glass Sliding Doors 54Sep 07, 2010 1:26 pm Thanks everyone.... the glass came from a local place here on the Coast - they do glass balustrades, pool fences etc - but they sourced the track system from Germany. They were rather pricey - just over $6K for both doors. Re: Internal Glass Sliding Doors 58Nov 15, 2010 1:50 pm waylow So the track system is CDS? If it is, thats a very cheap price. I'm not sure to be honest waylow....? Waylow is correct in saying there is a gap - it is not possible for kids to jam their fingers in this door. Personal preference - some will like the look - some won't - just like everything else in any home... however it is very fitting with the overall look of our place - we love it - so really that's all that matters Building on the Sunshine Coast - Land settled 22nd July 2009 Building contract finally signed (after much deliberation on our part) 11th November 2009 Building commences 25th January 2010 - small local builder End of June - almost completed fit out 26th July - MOVE IN DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Re: Internal Glass Sliding Doors 60Nov 16, 2010 8:47 am I absolutely love them Moogles Would have liked this in our ensuite but couldnt afford them. What is the wall made of opposite the glass door to the media room. Okay, then the choice is really about the build quality of the door itself which means the brand name. Sorry I can't recommend one or the other so best to rely on comments… 5 3279 we have a standard size and often we have a lot of variety to choose 0 3579 We are looking for sliding doors which are 5 metres tall.
