Are lawn aerator sandals worth it?

I use mine all the time, generally after it rains at least every 2 or 3 months and my lawn never pools water and is thick n lush all year which keeps all weeds at bay. Its easy to do after rain as the ground is soft and if you can get between rain days its a bonus. The other alternative is to use a garden fork but i find its spikes are too thick and damage roots of grass.

thank you. Just was not sure as spikes seem pretty short
