Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 24, 2020 8:39 pm Hey guys Me and a friend are doing some concreting under our pergola. His more a handy man then me, but I am trying to find out some info to do as much as I can myself because his a bit busy. We are up to connecting a storm water pit and drain. Underneath there is an existing storm water pvc pipe. I think its 90mm but I can only go off the size of the other storm water drains in the backyard So I just want to know if this is all I need because I dont want to spend much time looking for stuff and finding someone to help me in bunnings. I want to get in and out asap T angle 90mm PVC pipe like this – https://www.bunnings.com.au/holman-25mm-press-pvc-plain-tee_p3142350 2 of these – https://www.bunnings.com.au/deks-90mm-pvc-stormwater-coupling_p4730188 90mm PVC Pipe – 1-2 meters of 90mm PVC pipe Grill – https://www.bunnings.com.au/everhard-easydrain-polymer-grate-to-suit-flo-way-pit_p4771607 Questions. I see some people have storm water pitt's like this – https://www.bunnings.com.au/everhard-325mm-series-300-shallow-stormwater-pit_p4771398 Not sure if I need this or not. I think they hold the water before drain and act like a sink. The storm water would be under our pergola and would only get water from the run off from just outside the pergola and when we clean it with the hose Glue? https://www.bunnings.com.au/protek-125ml-type-n-blue-cement-solvent_p4750114 This guy didnt use any for the couplings. https://youtu.be/WxRN9-Y3eZ8 Re: Connecting Storm water drain to existing pipe 2Aug 05, 2020 4:53 am All looks good to me Patrick. I'm no pro plumber or anything but the products you have pictured look like they will do the job. Pits help keep debris from sliding down your underground pipe run, they can also help regulate flow. They are a great idea but don't always suit the area where stormwater underground piping is installed. Common to see them put somewhere inconspicuous. Good luck ..
