The planting area is level with the top of the retaining wall for about 10m, with the other 10m section having a drop off of up to 500mm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ from the planting level to the top of the retaining wall. I therefore need to put something between the trees and the retaining wall, to retain the soil and mulch that will be in the garden bed and stop it just sliding down the incline and over the top of the wall. I've had a landscaper suggest sandstone manhandles as an option. Are there any other good ideas or options for what I could use - that would be fairly inexpensive and not require lots of physical labour. Could I just put a 200m timber sleeper just in front of the retaining wall? Are there other stone or rock products that could work? Or does it even matter? Photo and drawing attached for reference.
