I did find quite a few topics about building concrete apron around house perimeter to protect the slab. But did not find more specific advice for sloped site.
My case is a volume builder is building the house on waffle slab with drop edge beam and the soil is H2. The site slopes down from back to front and also down from left to right by maximum 800mm. So the highest point is left-bottom corner and the lowest point is right-front corner. There is drop edge beam and screw pier along the lowest point.
My questions are:
1. should I build concrete path on both left and right sides of the slab or only for right side? because the site slopes down from boundary(high) to the slab(low) on the left side of the house, so concrete path would not divert water away?
2. If I Should not build the concrete path on left side, what material is recommended to pave the left side, or just grass?
3. Since there is already drop edge beam, does it mean I do not need to build concrete apron at all? just make it lawn?
Many thanks in advance.
