A few weeks ago some patches started to go yellow I I brought some hose on insecticide, wetting agent and fertilizer it's was a 3 in 1 hose on pack. Now about a week and a half later this is how it looks. I check the product I used and it doesn't say anywhere it's not safe for the grass I have. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Ben Hmm, as another option - it could be the damage from the product. If your lawn wasn't watered enough, then it could burn from the sun.You can install oscillating sprinkler, for instance, and use it in the morning/evening when watering applies best. My neighbors and me use Rainbird since it's quite easy to install. Plus they have good controllers and good pop ups (not affiliated with them, just talking from my experience). Others will do just the same (but my personal recommendation would be copper or at least aluminium ones, plastic ones are not reliable). But I agree with Rhetti, if it turns yellow, then dies so quickly, it could be grubs. They destroy the root system underneath, then the grass turns yellow and dies. Quite easy to check - dead grass will lift up like a carpet because the root system is gone. From experience you will need to treat at least twice for a bad infestation. Good luck! HI All, I will try and make a very long story as short as I can. I am a garden novice & I had my back yard landscaped by a so called "professional" approx 5 months ago.
