Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 11, 2019 7:08 pm Hi brains trust, We are on water tanks and have no access to stormwater downpipes so we have run 50 meters (1 acre block) of 100mm stormwater beside our driveway 400mm deep to a suitable exit point. The block slopes from the house (positioned at the back of the block) down to the front so fall is not an issue, the driveway does have a slope towards this trench. To catch the water runoff from the driveway, I will install agi pipe beside the driveway and above the 100mm storm. My thoughts are to fill around the 100mm storm poly pipe with 10-20mm rock, then socked agi, then finish with 10-20mm rock and tap into the 100mm storm at the bottom. We will then have a decorative rock on top to edge the driveway. This should give a 300mm agi trench. Does this sound ok? Should I be concerned with water in the trench washing/eroding the earth that supports the concrete driveway? Appreciate any ideas/confirmation. In the middle of this job and don't want to do it twice! Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9863 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10947 |
