Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 03, 2019 1:46 pm We're located in Cobbitty N.S.W and started building with Coral Homes. We were required to erect retainer walls for either sides of our home and on top of that it had to be structurally engineered. Very frustrating as not many others in the neighbourhood had retainer walls in general and all sloped like ours. We understand the need for a retainer wall to keep the integrity of the slab, soil etc but it needing to be structurally engineered we feel was over board- therefore increasing the total costs of materials, an engineer plan etc. Costing us $30k est (roughly $15k for each side) Just wanted to recommend our landscaper. Before the construction began they went above and beyond in terms of the gloomy weather(rain all throughout for weeks) and managed to still attend our lot to get it done whenever they had the chance. They kept us updated throughout on any delays or other relevant information we needed but not only that they managed to still be cheaper than other landscapers we we're quoted on. -helped us source an affordable structural engineer -removed fill that was dumped on our lot from other negligent builders around our lot. quoted the removal price that others could not beat -erected 2 quality standard retainer walls that we're approved by the structural engineer Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ^^^As you can see on the far right that's the fill-the other surrounding builders dumped on our lot.
