Hello there,
I currently have Sir Walter Buffalo on the front yard. It was laid 5 weeks ago.
2 days ago, I noticed a different colored grass in the middle of the Buffalo. Did some research and I'm 90% sure it's Kikuyu:

Buffalo on the right, and what I believe to be Kikuyu on the left
Couldn't find much help on the internet except:
1) Paint-brushing the runners with Round-Up
2) Spot-spraying the Kikuyu with Round-Up, replant Buffalo in the future
3) Inject the Kikuyu runners with Round-Up
4) Use Amgrow Winter Grass Killer by Chemspray (e.g. Endothal)
5) Old school pulling the runners out (but how do I differentiate Kikuyu runner from a Buffalo runner?)
Last night, I tried Option #4 and watered the front lawn with Endothal diluted with water per instructions. Will have to wait for a 1-2 weeks before re-applying and see results.
This afternoon, when the sun is out, I see that the Kikuyu had actually spread to other locations on the front lawn
I'm losing hope, thinking my Buffalo will be taken over by the Kikuyu soon.
Is there anything else I can do other than accepting the defeat? Should I keep applying Endothal to the front lawn?
Thanks.
