Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 May 31, 2018 9:10 am Hi, Have just laid Matilda Buffalo this week. New build so did not have an option to wait for warmer weather as we had a bare yard that would have turned into a mud heap if we got a lot of rain. Had the area scraped and then put down turf underlay. The grass looks good but am a bit worried that the temperature has dropped to single digit figures this morning here in south west Sydney. Usually do not get frosts. Is there any problem laying turn in Autumn - Winter, the supplier says no as long as you keep it well watered Any information greatly appreciated Col Re: Just Laid Matilda Turf atthis time of year 2May 31, 2018 9:35 am As long as you keep the water up to it as the supplier said, it will be ok. Anytime of year is ok to lay turf, it’s just that Spring, Summer & Autumn are the best times to lay it. In 1-2yrs no one will be able to tell what time of yr it was laid.
