Obviously they are flowering now, they have pink, white, red, purple flowers (on different trees). I think they are myrtles but not sure.
I was thinking of planting these around the yard with a focal tree being a Jacaranda (in Brisbane). Would these be good plants? Pros? Cons?

They look like council plantings, have you asked the council?

Pro: Beautiful flowering trees. Quite low maintenance.
Con: They can be quite invasive with sucker's coming up occassionly.
