Hi all
I will be planting 2 hedges directly in front of our granny flat to hide steel piers. This is what it looks like
The back hedge will be Murraya MinaMin
&
the front hedge Variegated English Box
I just can't get my head around how high to trim the box, if the top of both hedges have to be parallel to the floor. If the murrayas are trimmed to 770mm high & the box in front is trimmed to about half that to say 385 on the LH side, then the box hedge is going to be so obvious by the time it gets to the RH side of the granny flat .
Visually, that's a lot of box and very little murraya. That looks so odd to me?
Does that make any sense ?
Am I over-thinking this and is there an alternative ?
