Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Sep 26, 2017 7:15 am I was wondering if anyone knew the name of this tree? They are commonly used to line the streets of new Estates... Also if anyone has some suggestions of reasonable priced nurseries either Newcastle or Central Coast that would be great We are looking at putting 2 outside on the nature strip as trucks are using the space to turn around and driving on our new driveway. They'll be about $20-30 They had about six to ten tall ones there today. About the same height as me. The guy said the sale is a "day by day sale". WTH? Anyway... IF the sale is on tomorrow i'm buying like 50 plants as the ones i need for my hedge are down to $10 Re: What is this tree? 8Oct 13, 2017 8:09 pm cat_dunc Check our Whalans Warners Bay - 50% off. I'll check tomorrow. But yes they weren't established like your photo. I dont think I looked at the magnolia price. Yeah thats a lot! When I left at 3.30 today the guy went out and took down the sale sign. I dont know if they were closing or me asking made him decide he didnt want the sale on anymore?!? haha freaking weird. they clearly put stickers on plants they didnt want to sell cheaply with massive prices. All their succulents are now suddenly twice as much as bunnings - presumably so when its 50% off they don't loose any money? Anyway i hope its on. I have a big shopping list and will need the trailer Re: Our KDR journey on Lake Macquarie- XMAS HANDOVER 10Oct 13, 2017 8:29 pm cat_dunc Woah they were definitely cheaper than $50 today! I also went to the monthly markets we have at Morisset and met a guy that wholesales plants. His plants were quite reasonably priced and I got a few grasses and some light green looking spikey agaves for our front yard. He said he could get the tuckeroos at good price and whatever else I wanted, I just had to give him a ring so that's another option too. Can give you his number if you like? Hello. I just bought a few acres in Habana, Mackay, and my horses seem to love hanging around under this tree. I would like to name the paddock after this tree. Can… 0 9528 Fellow Perth dweller. Looks like pruns nigra. It's a dark leaf flowering plum. Doesn't get massive and is easily trimmed deciduous tree. Very popular in small gardens in Perth 7 2759 |
