Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design Re: Pricing for wrought iron fences..can anyone help? 2Sep 27, 2008 9:55 am Hi Smeags,
Which state are you in? If in SA then please pm me. The Lion posts alone would be around the $1000 mark each. The wrought iron fencing will vary in pricing according to whether it's solid steel or just that thin tubing stuff they use for pool fencing. I had some pool fencing quoted on about a year ago (before steel went through the roof) and around Adelaide it was anywhere between $180-$300/m. The spears add alot to the price, once again it depends on the materials, e.g. aluminium or steel and whether it's solid steel or tubing, and quality of workmanship! The concrete footings would set you back a bit too I imagine - definitely a job for someone with a builders licence, although you could probably get away without the footings as the lion posts are 1500mm high anyway. Hope that helps. We have a Victorian style ripple iron fence out the front that has some moulded timber capping. Probably 15+ years old and has cracked and splintered in parts...not really… 0 2486 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2825 I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15020 |
