Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 27, 2017 8:27 am My Sir Walter Buffalo lawn has gone brown during these winter months (I'm in Melbourne btw). What can I do to help it ? Should I add fertilizer or just a bit of seasol. I've been using 2 capfulls of Seasol per 10 L watering can. Should I up the dose ? thanks!!! Re: brown lawn 3Jul 27, 2017 11:27 am 2 weeks ago? July is too late. If you were trying to avoid browning/yellowing in winter then the time to do something is in Autumn. I use a Buffalo specific fertilizer and then follow up with BloodnBone and some iron chelate spray in early Autumn. Your grass is now dormant so feeding it now is pointless the leaves that are now underground go yellow, the tips that poke through photosynthesise and have chlorophyll, same reason they grow rhubarb in the dark. 5 4835 |
