Ideally something that drops as little leaf/flower waste as possible; will not have invasive roots; and can survive being within 2-3 metres of a salt pool. A fast grower preferred. I have read many threads and posts on privacy screens. I was about to purchase a mixture of pittosporum and lilly pilly and suddenly got second thoughts. Pittosporum don't seem to survive well in the hot Perth sun. Lilly pilly seem to have issues with pests. Someone suggested a waxy leaf Indian Hawthorn but that flowers may cause an issue with the pool. Or Murraya Paniculata? Also would a mixture of hedges work (eg red/green/silver) or just create more maintenance?
