Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 19, 2017 7:40 pm Hi all. Just wondering if some people could share some details of their approved landscape plans that show the detail of their retaining walls. I'm working on a plan to submit to a certifier with some small 450mm retaining walls against boundary fences which are not exempt according to the SEPP 2008 controls in NSW. I think I have enough detail but I'm checking here before I send this to the certifier. Thanks in advance. Steve. Yep. The sepp goes further to state any wall within 1m to any adjacent boundary is not exempt. So. I've managed to get the plan massaged to a satisfactory level once I looked into a few other DA's on the parra council website. The trial autocad LT took a bit to figure out, but once schooled by YouTube, anyone can be a skilled monkey. I share the full story once the certifier tells me his next steps. I'm completely fine constructing the wall but the topic relates to how to seek planning and what detail is required for planning approval. Re: Retaining wall plans 6Apr 28, 2017 11:25 pm The SEPP indicates the following in clause 3.29 (5): 5) Retaining walls and structural support Support for earthworks that are more than 600mm above or below ground level (existing) and within 1m of any boundary Re: Retaining wall plans 7Apr 29, 2017 8:22 am The product I was planning to use isn't Australian standard and not engineered for longer than 10 years. The other product is however covered by engineering and rated for use. Aussie concrete products provide an engineering design for a fee which I am waiting to receive in supporting the cdc documentation. Hopefully with this and the scale plan I'll be able to get moving on the project. Mine is complete and approved by CDC certifier Just got a list of six things to do, of which two are going to be tricky. 1. The certifier wants to see elevations... Argh 2. Sewer report from Sydney water. Money and more money. What a joke Any chance you could pm me? Re: Retaining wall plans 10May 25, 2017 6:36 pm I have done this plenty of times less than 1 metre from the fence boundary and less than 600mm wall height the certifier wasnt even interested didnt even look at it. It was something I was worried about he couldnt have cared less. Your other option build it 1001mm past the fence boundary hehehehhe . Retaining wall plans 11Jul 14, 2017 12:11 am I'm still waiting to hear from my certifier but so far I've spent; $700 for structural engineer plans "stamped" via Aussie concrete products resident engineer. $18 for the Sydney water tap-in application and $880 referral to a water services coordinator (Acor) to also stamp my plan to the extent "not service affecting" $133 to Parramatta council for the 149-2 and 149-5 planning certificates. $1045 for the certifier PCA engagement and mandatory inspections.
