There is a succulent farm near Dural too. Open every Saturday http://www.thesucculentgarden.com.au Re: Landscape design - KDR (sekisui house ) Burbank - ST Geo 62Sep 26, 2017 8:44 pm One of the landscaper have suggested to have similar retaining wall for the slope at the back. Doing retaining wall with blocks will cost more than treated pine sleepers. My question is how long will treated pine sleeper last? If it doesnt then you could use those really thick hardwood sleepers instead of treated pine. They'd last you ages, especially if you got 75mm thick. Way longer than the mega crappy 50mm thick treated pine we chose Re: Landscape design - KDR (sekisui house ) Burbank - ST Geo 64Sep 27, 2017 9:38 pm [quote="cat_dunc"]If the budget stretches then the blocks always look great. Blocks will always looks good but in my case the land slope to the back fence... even If put blocks I will never see it from lounge room. Yep you won't see them - I'd go for timber Re: Landscape design - KDR (sekisui house ) Burbank - ST Geo 67Sep 30, 2017 4:21 pm I read somewhere that if your block was higher than your neighbours then it was their responsibility for any retaining wall - the person who owns the lower ground has to pay for it, has anyone else heard that? Great plants shazaw I know nothing about gardening although I appreciate beautiful gardens. I think we will be paying a landscaper for ours, we paid Burbank around $190 for a landscaping design to submit to council. We had no idea what was on it and I have been trying to find it recently to see what was on it! Our Acacia build - http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86619 We had some fence quotes done, and that is basically what they said the rule was - whoever makes the impact such as cut or fill. Our neighbour have all agreed to this method, the lower side who has cut down will pay for the retaining. $190. Wow we got ripped. Over $1k just to show basic landscape with driveway and footpaths Re: Landscape design - KDR (sekisui house ) Burbank - ST Geo 69Oct 01, 2017 5:29 pm Oh wow really $1k?? Ours was actually only $120 they are pretty basic I will put them up on my thread.... 1. Buy cordylines in bunches from flower market. I paid $5 a bunch from Flemington flower market. You will get 5 individual cordyline in a bunch. Eventually these will be 5 plants. 2. Wash and cut off 1cm from the base of the stem 3. Place in a vase just one third of water, roots emerges from the stem in about 3 - 4 weeks Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Remove Yellow leaves Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Cut leaves as below. ready for planting Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Build Thread : viewtopic.php?=31&t=81624 Landscaping Thread : http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=86133 Re: Landscape design - KDR (sekisui house ) Burbank - ST Geo 77Jan 03, 2018 4:19 pm These were planted in Autumn last year.
