Hi all, 5 days ago we laid 150m2 of eureka kikuyu. We laid soil conditioner over the existing soil, then spread water crystals and fertiliser provided and recommended by the turf grower, then staggered the lawn over the top.
I have noticed over the last couple of days a few squares are yellowing and seem to be getting more so, while most of the turf is absolutely thriving.
Funnily enough it's the turf that's probably getting the most sun that's turning yellow, while the turf in the shade has been fairing extremely well. I thought this was unusual since kike didnt like shade?
At first I thought they may be areas that didnt get enough water, conditioner or fertiliser, but it seems odd how the yellowing is limited to exact squares of turf. So there can be a struggling yellow square of turf, with thriving squares around it?
I was just wondering if anyone had known of anything similar as I don't want this lovely turf to completely yellow!
We sprinkler for 3 x daily for 15 mins and hand water after each sprinkler session to ensure it gets a good soak
