Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 16, 2016 8:41 pm Hi everyone I have a new house and its time to do put some colour on the fence and start landscaping the front yard I want to eventually turn this house into an investment propert and rent it so I would like to keep maintenance to a minimum A handy friend of mine suggested to go paint instead of paint as paint will require less maintenance I originally picked a Merbau colour oil stain I could go something similar to a Merbau colour but in a paint but there are lots more paint colours out there... I am not very good with decorating stuff so I would like some idea's and recommendations with what would look good with my concrete and brick colours Mind you I would also have to paint smome timber for the front yard which will just be used as borders around some rocks and plants. No decking What do you guys think? Looks great. I personally wouldn't bother with painting it at all. I would consider a good varnish. I would consider a good varnish. Thanks Zgurler But wouldnt a varnish also require frequent maintenance? This is the thing I want to avoid especially because I wish to rent it out in future Please tell me because if it lasts as long as paint can I would definently go a varnish because it looks nice Re: Paint Colour for timber fence and front yard idea's 4Nov 17, 2016 8:36 pm Drekko zgurler Congratulations on your purchase! I'm not too sure about the maintenance on it though. .It comes in a wood stain look colour too.
