Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 18, 2016 6:55 pm Hey guys So this is what our sideyard looks like (area of approx 18m x 5m not taking alfresco) Sideyard Pic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a70lt5hdcqikq ... .jpeg?dl=0 Other side (With Alfresco): https://www.dropbox.com/s/kdai42m5kzs9w ... .jpeg?dl=0 Alfresco: https://www.dropbox.com/s/r67whk3484blh ... o.jpg?dl=0 Our main concern was to close the Alfresco area with something.. like a outdoor blind as it is a deadend for all things wind blows in. For the approx area of 3.8m x 2.5m for one blind we are getting rough quote of about $1200-1300 Then we thought maybe instead of that we can do a vergola / Louvre roofs which opens only the length and breadth of alfresco till the fence.. then perhaps the entire sideyard. We havent got quotes but by reading online we have a feeling that our quote might come to upwards of $30k? Maybe something else like retractable roofs like Helioscreen? or another product.. Maybe Stratco frames with some roof which allows lights.. I personally wasn't too keen on the A shaped roofs but can consider it.. We don't know what options we have and what we can do.. wife liked idea of outdoor fireplace but again I don't we have any space to put it and / or location (one side is house bricks and other side is plants) Please advise.. I would say both styles you have pictured are steel. The lower chord of the first pic would be a massive lump if made using timber considering the size of the rafters.
