Newcastle House - landscaping 102Jun 28, 2017 12:27 am Omg cat how did I not know you had this thread??? Your gardens look beautiful, well done you. It's not easy with kids under your feet and pesty parents (I laughed so much about your stop work protest) my parents are riding my bum about when our new build is going to start because they want to visit but won't come in the middle of summer (they live in Tassie and would seriously melt) I didn't know your mum lives on the coast either?? I'm going to the coast tomorrow and might have a look at my old house . I am following along, I love gardening and find it very therapeutic. I still love your sleepers at the front . Your mud angels are precious too, I remember when you had your babe my god that time has flown. What did you decide on with your pool?? Concrete or the barrier reef one? Very impressed with your rendering skills too, I can draw houses by hand but haven't taught myself how to use archicad yet. It's on the list. Can't wait to see your updates Re: Newcastle House - landscaping 103Jun 29, 2017 10:50 pm Your landscaping is gorgeous! I'm just starting to think about landscaping (just the plan for developers atm)., so will be following along! 😁 Re: Newcastle House - landscaping 105Jul 07, 2017 9:37 pm (I'm confusing myself with two threads. I thought i just posted to this one. I meant to write this here:) I'm so excited - we signed up for a pool today!! Woohoo!!! About 12 weeks it should be til it's delivered and installed. We thought they'd have wanted to come last week before EOFY but he didnt seem concerned and was booked out. So he came this afternoon and we managed to get the price down into budget. The pool is this little baby and will be off the end of the patio: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Share Re: Newcastle House - landscaping 107Jul 07, 2017 9:49 pm Tribe7 Omg cat how did I not know you had this thread??? Can't wait to see your updates Haha dont worry, the landscape part of the forum isn't visited by anywhere as many people so super easy to miss! Which area of Tassie are your folks? We had our honeymoon there. Sooo gorgeous. And yep mine are on the gold coast. They're near Sea World. We decided on a fibreglass pool. Signed up today! Its with Tranquility and is the Resort 6. 6.2m long x 3.5m wide. I didnt get a formal concrete quote, but on the phone one guy said he couldn't get near the fibreglass quote we had so we didn't go any further with it. I love that learning archicad is on your list of things to do. Its such a cool program. Newcastle House - landscaping 108Jul 07, 2017 9:56 pm This is where the pool will go: See us in red, having a beer overlooking the kids playing in the yard? It will be concrete surround with stone paving finish. Glass balustrade on the patio end and probably black pool fence the rest to save some money. I'm not sure about the rest of the landscaping yet. We'll work it out as we go...

Landscaping is the fun part Re: Newcastle House - landscaping 112Jul 08, 2017 10:27 am Woohoo congrats on the pool neighbour! So exciting I know where I'm heading in summer if we ever start building Im aiming for a spa as not sure we can squeeze a pool in (but perhaps Im getting ahead of myself having not even started building yet) 🤣🤣🤣 did you end up getting your ducted sorted? We have several quotes but it's still in my later basket Re: Newcastle House - landscaping 113Jul 08, 2017 12:36 pm cat_dunc Edited the post a few up so make the pictures work. Seems photobucket isn't an option anymore! Hi cat_dunc, We're investigating the photo bucket issue. In the interim, and if it's any help you may upload photos directly to the homeone server. Yep we have our final/preferred ducting quote now which reminds me i need to email and give him the go ahead. So its still not installed. We're pretty slow with everything Definitely want it in before this summer! I didn't realise it was an option so I'll be sure to use it next time. Re: Newcastle House - landscaping 116Jul 08, 2017 3:55 pm No problem. Got a call from Tranquility Pools this morning and the pool has been approved and we're booked in for installation on the 21st August, pending weather. Thats two months earlier than they estimated when we signed the contract. So much to do. Need to arrange an electrician, find and buy pavers and fencing, and hire temporary fencing. Ours is this Thursday!! You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 8592 Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar. Retaining wall regulations… 5 5600 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 31784 |
